The Sultana was a Mississippi River paddlewheel steamboat that exploded on April 27, 1865 just north of Marion Arkansas.

Over 2,000 Union Soldiers released from Andersonville and Cahaba Confederate prison camps were crowded on board and more than 1200 killed when the disaster occurred.

The future Sultana Disaster Museum will serve to commemorate those who experienced the tragedy and memorialize all who lost their life in what is known as the "Greatest Maritime Disaster in US History" .

You will  receive the donor certificate showing what your brick will look like, along with the small 1.5" X 3" souvenir brick with the purchase of each memorial brick, whether the standard or the double-sized bricks.

Your brick will be placed in the Memorial Plaza at the entrance of the museum and the proceeds will support the construction and operation of the future Sultana Disaster Museum.

The museum is slated to open in Spring 2025. The Memorial Brick pathway will be installed at that time.
