The Beatrice Garden Club is announcing their intent to build a Veterans Memorial Garden in Beatrice. Memorial bricks may be purchased to honor family, friends or loved ones, and will be installed at the completed memorial.
The memorial bricks will accomplish three objectives:
1) Recognition of any veteran who served in the Armed Forces of the United
States
2) Recognition of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their country
3) Recognition of those currently serving in the Armed Forces of the United
States
Any Veteran may be honored. It is not necessary that the individual have lived in Beatrice or Monroe County. All six branches of the United States Military will be honored – Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and Space Force.
All bricks will be colored a shade of red as provided by the manufacturer.
The cost per memorial brick is $100. The 4”x8” bricks will hold up to 4 lines of
inscription. A line holds no more than 21 character positions, and that would
include spaces. The suggested inscription information is as follows:
Line 1. Veterans Name: First MI Last
Line 2. Branch of the Armed Services (abbreviated)
Line 3. Unit of Assignment
Line 4. Dates of Service
