The Blue Earth County Historical Society has a BOLD VISION for a BOLD Expansion to TRIPLE the History Center Museum!

The BOLD Vision and first BOLD Step were announced in 2021. The first BOLD Step was the acquisition of 526 S. 5th Street. Thanks to History Heroes like you, we bought the property in August 2023! The BOLD Vision continued in 2024 with the completion of the Warren Street parking lot reconstruction, including additional parking spaces, two entrances off South Fifth Street, and parking lot lights.

These are just two of the phases of the overall BOLD Vision and are needed before moving forward with our building expansion. Upcoming projects include additional signage and beautification projects before we look ahead at expansion.

Commemorative bricks are a fun and unique way to memorialize your family name, organization, or business in Blue Earth County history and support the Society’s important mission to preserve, protect, and share our local history. The bricks will be added to the Blue Earth County History Center patio approximately once a year, and funds will support future capital improvement projects.
