The Calhoun Community Center and Historic Harvey C. Couch Schoolhouse invite you to purchase an engraved brick so you can cement your legacy there forever. Your purchase helps with the maintenance and restoration of the Community Center and Historic Schoolhouse. The Schoolhouse opened in 1928 thanks to the generosity of Harvey C. Couch. The Community Center is within the walls of the historic schoolhouse and community members from around Calhoun and South Arkansas are using the Center for connecting people from all walks of life. It is a place where vendors, artists, and musicians can showcase their crafts and talents through events and classes. Some events and classes are free to the public and some events are fundraisers to help care for the Community Center and Historic Schoolhouse. This Center is a place where people of all ages can interact in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
The Calhoun Community Center Bricks Project - Phase 1, will be placed in front of the main entrance steps at the front of the building for all to see as they enter the Community Center and Historic Schoolhouse.
