Since 1958, our mission at Christ United Methodist Preschool (CUMP) has been to offer our community a safe, healthy, and age appropriate learning environment that teaches children about God's love and prepares a child for elementary school. Now, more than ever, we are witnessing the great demand and the necessity for preschool learning and how important these young years are to truly preparing a child to enter public education at the age of 5. We provide every child the opportunity to develop spiritually, academically, physically, and emotionally through constructive play, a Christian curriculum, and resource programs. We are so proud to say that our teachers love their jobs and that we are truly a preschool family. Our families trust and love our long standing teachers with their cherished children, often providing a preschool education over generations throughout a family.
Well, naturally our buildings have worn over time and thankfully our enrollment has remained full and thriving, but we are in serious need of student bathroom remodels in order to accommodate our growing population of children being potty trained. These renovations will add more toilets and handwashing stations, but require some costly changes be made to our current, aging facilities.
ALL proceeds from our Bricks R Us fundraiser will be used toward the cost of student bathroom renovations. We would love to invite all past students (alumni), their families, our local businesses, and church members to place your name and message in stone and help us work toward our renovation goals. Your bricks will be proudly displayed along our main entrance next to our Lending Library, extending into the preschool, and along the middle (exiting) walkway for everyone's viewing pleasure.
