In 2018 the Shelter House committee,
consisting of City Council members, Community Club members and Danbury citizens
was formed “to get the ball rolling” on the City Park.
Our main goal is to
make improvements to the Danbury Park & Rec to allow citizens and visitors to
ultimately enjoy every aspect the park has to offer. We strive to make the park
a place that families can utilize daily and enjoy for many years to come.
We are currently in the process of
applying for grants and starting various fundraising efforts; our goal is
approx. $150,000 for Phase 1.
The new shelter house will have a Donor Wall
to show appreciation for all donor levels. Level Donors will also receive a
brick on the wall of donated bricks. Anyone is welcome to purchase a brick for
their family, children, friends...Let's fill the wall!! We appreciate all
support!
