About the Fremont Park Canine Recreation Area:
The Mission of the Benton Park Dog Park is to foster positive community engagement by providing a safe, fenced environment for owners and their dogs to exercise, socialize, and train. It is our aim to promote responsible pet ownership..
We're raising money to fund the creation of a dog
park within Fremont Park. The funds raised will be used solely
for the dog
park, including fencing, water line and fountain installation, seating, and
landscaping to beautify the
park and create a buffer for neighbors.
Our neighborhood has a large population of dogs, without a safe area to play on
a daily basis.
Fremont Park is centrally located in the Benton Park
Neighborhood of Saint Louis. It is currently being used as an
unofficial dog
park, without fencing, which is a dangerous practice for dogs and neighbors.
Because Fremont Park
is owned by the City of St. Louis, our proposal must
first be accepted by the city and meet all city ordinances in
regard to park
design.
