We invite FUHS students, alumni, and community members to pave the way as we fundraise for OAK Commons, our new native plant garden and outdoor learning space located behind science building 1 on the corner of Chapman and Pomona. Our project will take place in phases, starting with grass removal, installing decomposed granite, and laying customized pavers. When completed, our learning space will enhance biodiversity by incorporating plants native to Fullerton, providing a water source for pollinators, and offering multiple seating options to facilitate different learning experiences. The existing mature cork oak will be a central focal part of our garden, and we plan to create seminar-style seating under it. The space will promote students' understanding of local ecosystems and foster a deeper connection to the natural world as students participate in hands-on learning experiences.
By purchasing a paver to be placed in our garden walkway, you will leave your mark on FUHS for generations to come. Your paver can be customized with text and also include graphics to commemorate sports and academies at FUHS.
