Galvez Garden was established in 2021. Since then our award winning garden has composted over 15,000 pounds of food scraps and we continue to offer this free service to the community weekly to divert food waste from our landfills. We serve as a teaching and demonstration garden for the community and are proud to be a recognized USDA People's Garden.

We are pleased to share we are installing a new greenhouse on site to increase our production, extend our growing season, and serve as an additional classroom site for our programming. We want to commemorate this huge milestone by adding an inscription of your choice to the brick floor of this new permanent structure on site. Your contribution will directly sustain our efforts to practice sustainable and regenerative urban agriculture within New Orleans.
