“One lives in the hope of becoming a memory.”
Antonio Porchia
We all strive to preserve the memories of loved ones. Those family members that
shaped and molded us as we grew into ourselves.
Others, we look to support
organizations in the community that provide education, places for recreation,
and a chance to experience the past.
The Greater Harrington Historical
Society is seeking just these types of people to aid us in building our Wall of
Remembrance.
The wall, located in the parking lot on the East side of the
building, provides citizens with the opportunity to leave a permanent reminder
of their loved ones, or gives them the chance to show their support of the
museum and its mission.
It also provides the donor the chance to help preserve the history of Harrington. As a portion of each bricks sale will aid the museum. We have over forty thousand artifacts housed in three locations. Building maintenance, preservation of artifacts, and a potential for museum expansion, are but a few challenges our small museum faces.
Space is limited, so order today. Do not miss this rare opportunity to aid in saving our history. Sales will end Nov 15, 2018 so hurry and get your brick today!
