The Immaculate Conception Confirmation Class of 2021 have designed a beautiful grotto area where one person, a family, or a group can gather to venerate our Lady and ask her to intercede for us with her Son, our Savior Jesus Christ.

The Confirmation Class was given this class project when most of them were in the seventh grade. The Project was to design and build a grotto to house a statue of our Lady of Lourdes and Saint Bernadette that had been tucked away under some stairs beside the church air conditioner. The students spent countless hours working on an appropriate design and had some Kansas State Architecture students help them with this design and provided the above rendering.

On the perimeter, outside the stamped concrete they envisioned rows of bricks to commemorate donors new old and log gone, as well as teachers, Priests, Nuns, Bishops and Archbishops especially those who had a long last effect on the church, parish and school.
