The American Legion has a proud tradition of supporting our nation's youth. The organization was founded on the principle in 1919, when children and youth were declared one of the Legion's four pillars. American Legion Post 106 has owned Kennedy Hall Athletic Complex and supported youth sports for many years but now our park needs improvements and our Post has decided to create an Athletic Complex that pays respect to those who paved the way and served our country. Our plan is to build a memorial to all branches of military service and pay tribute to the founding members of Post 106 and those who impact youth sports in our community. These bricks will build a walkway to this memorial and allow players to walk, read and remember the men and women who paved the way for their freedom. This allows them to learn the value of freedom while playing the game they love.
This park will host thousands of families each year whose children play baseball and softball as we host Patriotic Tournaments each week and allow teams to practice and utilize the fields during the week.
