The Jack Savell Memorial Nature Reserve

The Jack Savell Memorial Nature Reserve brings the beauty of nature and the arts to a little spot of woods nestled near the

Trinity River and Brookdale Tanglewood Oaks Senior Living Solutions. It is designed to be a safe place to inspire children and

their families with a love of nature and the outdoors.

•             You will find a storytelling pit, an art pavilion, an amphitheater, a fort and fairy house building area, an observation deck, a bird blind, a dirt digging area, picnic pavilion, and educational discovery boards and pathways throughout the woods.

There is much research about the health benefits of spending time outdoors, along with the benefits of relationships between senior citizens and young children. Community progams after school and Saturdays. We would love for our community to partner  with us in creating this wonderful project.
