The Pearl River County 4-H Jr. Master Gardeners invite you to purchase an engraved brick to support their pollinator garden project. The purposes of this project are:
* to
provide a food source and habitat for the many pollinators and Monarch
butterflies that migrate each year
* to educate the community on the benefits of
pollinator gardens and pollinators
In the spring of 2022,
the Pearl River County Jr. Master Gardeners
helped build a Pollinator Community Educational Garden
in Poplarville City Park. The garden consists of a 40 ft. wildflower garden in
ground, six 32 ft. raised beds, a
10 x 7 no dig nature plant garden and an over 60
foot bed of Muhly grass. The plants in the beds are all labeled, and
a large-framed sign that displays every plant
and information about every plant was installed. Benches and container planters
were added. Garden Art design and painted by Jr. Master Gardeners. The beds are
open to the community
to visit daily, and educational events will be
scheduled yearly.
The brick walkway will be in the center of the pollinator gardens.
Please consider purchasing a memorial brick in memory or honor of your loved one, veterans, business sponsors or pets to help maintain the pollinator gardens for many years to come.
