Operation Whiteknact Playground

This organization was formed by the Whiteknact PTA, to help Emma G. Whiteknact Elementary School. Our school is a Title 1 school, and has the highest rate of poverty within the district. We service 300 children in kindergarten through grade five. The school also houses one of the district’s largest elementary programs for specialized instruction; servicing children who face many physical, cognitive and handicap challenges. We are the only school in the district that does not currently have a playground.

Currently students have recess in a cracked cement courtyard where they are at high risk for injuries. Our goal is to transform the school courtyard into to a safe, engaging and therapeutic recess area, in which all students will have the ability to utilize.

We will continue to Raise funds to help Build & Maintain the Playground. Any & All help raising funds is needed at this time to make this happen.

Bricks will be Displayed along the Pathway leading to the Playground. It will be Installed professionally and cared for by our Crew.
