Two girls, Julianna Smith and Andela Dozier, from Troop 21638 (Jamison, PA) have come up with the idea to build a walkway up to the flagpole at Warwick Memorial Park. They are asking people to purchase a brick because they feel that on the walkway, people should be able to show their support to the veterans at this memorial park.
The girls are building this walkway for their Silver Award. The Girl Scout Silver Award is the highest award a Girl Scout Cadette can achieve. It gives the girls a chance to show that they are a leader who is organized, determined, and dedicated to improving their community.
You might be thinking, why do I want to honor someone with a brick? This is a park about honoring veterans and you can also show your support towards veterans, active or retired. It's pretty cool to be able to say "I'm honoring someone who served our country with a brick at my local park!"
ALL COPY SUBJECT TO PRE-APPROVAL BY TROOP 21638.
This is to preserve the true nature of the pathway and properly honor our veterans.
