A new kind of community place
In 2008
a few neighbors formed a non-profit to buy and renovate the Old
Methodist Church building in Berlin’s town center and make it
available to the greater community for daily use. The building
was purchased in 2011 and after almost seven years-thanks to the
combined efforts of the construction project team, hundreds of
volunteers and donors, business partners, government and
foundation grants- celebrated its opening in October of 2017.
Now recreated as 19 Carter the space is
beautiful, vibrant and inclusive; inviting the greater
community to connect through music, art, stories, information
and visiting.
We've giving everyone a final opportunity
to be a visible part of the project buying a brick. Your
brick(s) will be mounted on the foundation and become part of
the new history of 19 Carter. Personalized bricks can be inscribed
with your family name, or in honor or in memory of someone.
You may also choose to highlight an
special event or date. An inscribed brickmakes a great gift.
19 Carter is a nonprofit 501(c)(3)
organization so all donations are tax deductible to the full
extent provided by law.
