Imagine Wesley International Academy was founded on the vision of bringing educational excellence to the students of Atlanta’s urban core. The school has adopted the prestigious and rigorous International Baccalaureate Primary and Middle Years Programmes for students in kindergarten through 8th grade. These programs emphasize students gaining knowledge, skills, and understanding through hands-on, constructivist learning activities. Students learn by doing, creating, applying, and utilizing information to solve real-world problems. The Imagine Wesley curriculum makes students active participants and leaders in their own learning, by making student-designed, inquiry-based projects the central avenue of learning.

Providing students with the necessary learning and research tools is the goal of our Imagine Wesley Brick Paver Campaign. Our dream and vision is to outfit the school with the technology that will enable all of our young scholars to compete in the 21st century global economy. Tomorrow’s careers demand that students possess the ability to ask incisive questions, research and pursue answers in the vast repositories of human knowledge, and then apply and synthesize this information into innovative solutions. Imagine Wesley will be investing in our students’ future by training them to utilize interactive white boards, video conferencing equipment, video broadcasting hardware, experimental scientific instruments, Computer Aided Design software, robotics, electronics, information technology, and computers. Students will synthesize their knowledge and professionally present their projects through the creation of web pages, computer programs, graphic designs, weblogs, videos, podcasts, and many more high tech communication formats.

By partnering together we can transform our students into the 21st century knowledge workers of tomorrow. With expanded access to technology, science equipment, and world-class library facilities, students will improve their academic achievement in reading, writing, mathematics, science, humanities, and the arts. Together we can enable our children to compete with their brothers and sisters around the globe, thus, insuring a bright future for our families, our city, and our country.
