Korean War Memorial
Eagle Scout Project
John R. Smith Life Scout
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am a life lifelong scout and currently working toward
Eagle Scout Rank.
For my Eagle Scout project I wanted to do something that
would be lasting and remembered. I was talking to my
Grandfather about the Korean war, he served the US
Military. This led to the idea of my eagle project. I’m
constructing a Korean War Memorial for our community and
the state of Kentucky.
This will be placed at
Highlands Memorial Gardens
in
Mt. Washington, Ky. They have a veterans gardens where
this will be placed.
I would like to make this project personal for others as
well, so for a $100 donation you can have a Korean War
Veteran’s name of your choice engraved into a brick that
will be placed at the memorial. The donation will pay
for the brick and for expenses to finish the project.
There will be a limited amount of bricks.
I would like to have as many veterans names be included
in this memorial as possible from all over the country.
This was the forgotten war lets us not forget those that
served and those that didn’t come home to their loved
ones.
My goal to finish my project is $15,000.
If you would like to make a cash donation this would be
appreciated.
Please help me meet my goal to honor the Veterans of the
Korean War.
If I go over my goal, this money will be donated to the
disable veterans of today.
