Flags Over Maine Streets is holding a Brick Fundraiser to help in the efforts of revitalizing the York Town Hall.  With bids coming in over estimate, some of the projects slated for town hall are not going to happen.  One of those projects was to be the brick walkway.  The paved walkway now in place doesn’t meet the needs and functions for its intended use.  It lacks the direction of traffic, is not A. D. A. compliant and has no personality.

            Flags Over Maine Streets thanks you for taking an interest in our “Walk To Remember” Buy A Brick Campaign. We invite you to join your friends and neighbors in creating a permanent link to our future. 

Buy a brick to commemorate your company or organization, or to memorialize a special event in someone's life, or honor a friend or loved one.  The bricks will be permanently installed and displayed as part of the entrance to the Town Hall Assessors’ office on York Street in York, making each message visible to town hall patrons and visitors for years to come.  What better gift for the person who has everything than an investment in the future of York, Maine?

As you may know, Flags Over Maine Streets is a nonprofit business advocacy organization that works to promote community strength and patriotic spirit.  We are committed to building solid partnerships with our friends and neighbors of York and surrounding towns. Through the Flags Over Maine Streets York Youth for Sports programs, business events and volunteer activities, we provide many of the services and resources necessary to help our community grow and gain exposure in York and the surrounding areas.   

The walkway to be replaced was originally eliminated from the town hall revitalization program. With the new walkway in place, it would better serve as a welcome path to and from town hall.    

The bricks will be sold in two sizes.  Your donation of $50.00 will purchase a 4”x8” brick with space for four lines, twenty one characters per line.  Or you can choose the more spacious 8x8 brick for a contribution of $100.00, which can include up to eight lines, twenty one characters per line.
