Be part of our
history.
Become part of
our tomorrow.
In honor of the 125th
anniversary of the founding of Edmonds and the
continuing renovation of the Edmonds Historical
Museums’ property, the museum is creating a new
public space right on its doorstep, and is
offering a unique opportunity for you to leave
your mark on history by becoming a permanent
part of the new Museum Plaza.
This
is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to purchase an
inscribed Heritage Brick paving stone.
The Heritage
Bricks will grace the Plaza for years to come,
and the inscribed names will become an enduring
part of the legacy of our community.
Future
generations of Edmonds citizens will be reminded
of the names of ancestors, friends and
acquaintances with each visit to the Plaza.
The
new space will reflect the classic Georgian
architecture of the historic 1910 Carnegie
Library, home to the Edmonds Museum's since
1973. Several phases of work will include the
installation of the Heritage Bricks, display
structures, benches, plantings, water features
and the placement of a time capsule. It will be
a place to step off the street and into peaceful
space, engage in conversation, read, or simply
relax.
The
Museum Plaza will be an integral part of
downtown Edmonds' historic Fifth Avenue corridor
stretching from Hazel Miller Plaza, past the
Cedar Dreams Fountain, the Ganahl-Henley Log
Cabin, Centennial Square, the Veterans Memorial,
and ending at the soon-to-be completed 9-11
Memorial at the Edmonds Fire House.
Come
and be a part of the history of this wonderful
community with your purchase of a Heritage
Brick. The bricks will come in two sizes and
prices as shown below:
4”x
8” x 1/2" Alfagres, Spanish Red tile with 3
lines of text allowing 18 characters per line
for $200.00
8″ x 8″ x 1/2″ red tiles strategically placed
