Growing a Greener and Healthier Carson City

Brick by Brick

The Greenhouse Project is a nonprofit Nevada corporation whose mission is to establish and sustainably operate a community-based greenhouse.  We provide educational and vocational opportunities for students, youth groups, and special needs individuals in a garden setting which serves as a year-round source of locally-grown agricultural and horticultural products for the Carson City Community.  The greenhouse operations rely on renewable energy sources for power and use ecologically sustainable growing methods to nurture vegetables and bedding plants.

The Greenhouse Project cultivates flower baskets for the downtown Carson City corridor and grows and distributes vegetables year-round at no cost to residents of Carson City who are low-income or otherwise disadvantaged.  The net proceeds from the sale of the bricks will be used to pay for the greenhouse’s ongoing operational costs.

Each 4x8 brick is $100 and can include up to 3 lines of text and up to 18 characters per line.
