About Koinonia
The Koinonia Neighborhood Project, which includes a
green space and neighborhood garden, will be the largest
neighborhood Golden Crescent Habitat for Humanity has
built to date. The five acres, generously donated by a
local, private donor, are located off Arroyo Drive, just
east of Navarro, between Mesquite Ln and Airline Rd.
The land will allow for the construction of 18 new
Habitat homes. Given the profound impact that
homeownership has on low-income families, this project
will dramatically change the lives of approximately 100
individuals and their subsequent generations.
Before home construction can begin, the land requires
significant infrastructure improvements. These
improvements include the installation of a street,
sewer, electricity and gas. Habitat is raising money to
fund this infrastructure.
