Let’s Pave The Way
for Future Generations
For over 80-years, the venerable, 3-story
building on the east edge of town, has stood sentinel over
generations of PCHS students. This building has faithfully
served as the launch pad for our dreams, our hopes and for our
very lives as adults, contributing to our community and to
society. Some of us left PCHS and went on to college; some of us
embarked upon military careers; some of us stayed and worked on
the farm or in the mines, while others among us made their lives
thousands of miles away. But we all shared in something special.
And being able to say I’m from Pinckneyville, or am now attached
in some way, binds us all together. We’re all joined in one way
or another, and we all want what’s best for our community and
our kids.
As a community, we’re working together to
build a better future for our kids and for Pinckneyville through
the scholarship fundraising efforts of the PCHS Education
Foundation. As someone who values this community, we’re looking
forward to your help in literally paving the way for our
students with this exciting and important commemorative Panther
Paver Campaign.
As we see a new ‘launch-pad’ rising on
East Water Street, and a new era dawning on the PCHS Campus,
with the construction of our new state-of-the-art main high
school building, we want to take time to reflect on the hopes,
dreams and lives we know will be shaped in those halls for years
to come, just as ours were in the 1931 building. And we want to
give those students every possible benefit of our support as
they move forward to create, not only the future of
Pinckneyville but, the world of tomorrow.

be installed along with others at the main entry of our new
school. Your donation will make scholarship assistance possible
for many of our hardworking students so that they may take their
academic talents to the next level.
