Dear Friends,
Thank you for taking your time to read my letter and
for taking into consideration helping me with my Eagle
Project. When you support my project, you will also be
supporting the North Hampton Bandstand Committee and the
North Hampton Community.
I am a Life Scout from Troop 162 in North Hampton
working on my Eagle Rank. One of the pinnacles of the
Eagle Scout Rank is to complete a charitable project to
help a local group other than the BSA. For my project, I
have chosen to replace the flagpole lighting at the
North Hampton Bandstand that has been in disrepair for
the past few years. These lights are supposed to be
illuminating our American Flag. Since these lights have
been so badly damaged by weather and time, our flag has
been flying in the dark. As you most likely know, in
order to fly the American Flag in the evening hours, it
must be illuminated for all passersby to view.
How You Can Help
I am looking for sponsors to purchase engraved pavers to
raise funds. I have researched LED lights that will save
the town money and will last longer.
I also have an electrician that will donate his time
and labor, along with the pavers I am selling. I will
use the funds from the pavers to buy the supplies for my
project. The pavers will be laid at the foundation of
the flagpole. If you would like to support me in my
Eagle Project, please contact me at my contact
information listed below. Other forms of sponsorship and
donations would be accepted and appreciated. Examples of
the pavers are on the flip side, for your convenience.
Sincerely,
Jacob Higgins
