Lucky Orphans Horse Rescue provides Sanctuary to abused
and neglected horses in Dutchess County. We are home to
50 horses, and offer equine welfare education and
horsemanship programs. We are accredited by the Global
Federation of Accredited Sanctuaries, and the
Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance. Our riding and
horsemanship instructors are certified through the
Certified Horsemanship Association. In addition, Lucky
Orphans is home to EquiNorth, an Equine Assisted Therapy
Program.
We are raising fund to construct a modest covered arena.
Currently, if it is rainy, or windy we have to cancel
our programs and therapy sessions. To children
afflicted by trauma, or on the spectrum, consistency is
very important and when we have to cancel it sets our
clients back on their treatment goals. We need your
help to complete this energy efficient facility for our
education and therapy programs.
Any donations above what is needed to construct the
arena will go directly to the care of the 50 horses on
the farm.
By making a permanent mark at our farm with the purchase
of your own personalized brick to become part of Lucky
Orphans Horse Rescue.
Your generous donation will be part of our home
and visible to our many visitors for years to come.
