White Whiskey (moonshine) and Bourbon the way it should be,
clean and simple. Lulbegrud Creek™ (lul • be • grud krk)
THE WAY WHISKEY SHOULD BE, CLEAN AND
SIMPLE!
BOONE, BOURBON AND WHITE WHISKEY
(moonshine).
It was 244 years ago that Daniel Boone
first set his eyes on what would become the area we know and
love as the Bluegrass Region of Kentucky. His description of the
area as, “the beautiful level of Kentucky” still resonates with
residents who call it home.
It was on this exploration that
Daniel Boone camped on a creek he lovingly named for a city from
a book he read on his travels. That book, "Gulliver's Travels,"
in a lot of ways, mimicked the exploits that Boone himself
endured while traveling into unknown country. The city in
"Gulliver's Travels" was called, "Lorbrulgrud," and from that
name came Lulbegrud Creek (lul
• be • grud krk).
With that heritage as a guide, we plan to create a craft
distillery that will produce flavored white
whiskey(moonshine) and a bourbon product
that is true to its roots, while reflecting a step forward in
the way we think about what we drink.
With every passing day, it grows more important then ever to
really focus on what we eat and drink, where it comes
from, and who is making it. The basic ingredients of a
good whiskey are the grains and the water. With those
ingredients in mind, we plan to produce our product from
locally sourced grains that we know have been unadulterated,
allowing us to follow in the footsteps of the way whiskey used
to be made, the NON-GMO, Organic way.
Using clean grains as our base, we'll be able to
provide whiskey lovers everywhere with a product that gives the
best flavor and taste, that you can drink knowing it was
produced with the highest quality.
What will your funds be used for?
Opening a startup craft bourbon and whiskey distillery is no
small task.
Your contribution will go a long way in getting us where we need
to be in this project.
-
Equipment -
After 2 years of research, discussions with other
distillers, tons of reading, crying and some conflict
resolution, we narrowed down our equipment to the basics we
need to start-up. Some of your contribution will help secure
that equipment so we can hit the ground...uh...distillin?!
-
The product -
The most important part will be sourcing the best grains,
and flavors for the product, as well as the bottles, labels,
and other items needed to be in business as a distillery.
We've dug our fingers to the bone finding the right farmers,
printers, and bottle makers who fit with the ideal of what
we will accomplish. Some of your contribution will be used
to help order these items to begin making our first batch of
whiskey!
Who will be producing it?
The owner of course! When it comes to a craft distillery you can
bet that the owner is always hands on. You're starting out small
so you have to be as hands on as possible. Heck, not only does
he have to make the product, he may even have to use a stapler
or even type something! See the owners Bio to the right!
