The Moundsville Skatepark Initiative, along
with the City of Moundsville, recognizes the need for a public
skatepark in Moundsville.
Skateboarding has exploded in popularity.
According to the USA Today, it is the 3rd largest
participant sport in the US with over 12.3 million skaters.
The proposed park will be located at the Evan G. Roberts
Sports Complex/East End Park behind the basketball courts. The
street- course designed skatepark will encompass 10,000 square
feet and will cost approximately $168,000.
In order to
make this park a reality, we need the support of the public. We
are selling 4 x 8 red paver bricks at $50 each.
Each brick can be personalized to our liking.
The bricks will be part of a permanent walkway to be
located near the skatepark.
Thank you for supporting us in giving the people of Moundsville
a safe place to skateboard.
