NIA Veteran’s Memorial Beautification Project
For many years
the Nichols community, the Town of Trumbull, and the State of
Connecticut have sent numerous brave young men and women who
have sacrificed their life and livelihood to serve in the United
States Armed Forces.
The Nichols Improvement
Association (NIA) seeks to further honor those who have given so
much by improving and beautifying its existing veteran’s
memorial, located on the NIA green at the intersection of
Shelton Road and the Huntington Turnpike.
The plan is to remove the
existing shrubbery, place a flower bed, add seating and
lighting, and install a brick pathway leading up to the
memorial. This endeavor shall be organized and completed by Boy
Scout Troop 65 as part of an Eagle Scout project.
In order to facilitate this, we are
running an engraved brick campaign. You may purchase a brick
engraved with a message of your choice, perhaps honoring a loved
one who served or simply commemorating your donation. We are
offering the following options:

Engraved 4 X 8 brick with up to three lines of text with
eighteen characters per line: $100

Engraved 8 X 8 brick with the logo of a branch of the armed
forces of your choice: $125
Thank you for your generosity!
