Located just two miles from West Point's Thayer Gate in the beautiful Hudson
Valley,
The Garrison House boasts a
New York State Landmark plaque with a connection
to Revolutionary War Patriots Isaac Garrison and
Captain Molly Corbin.
The original home was
built in 1751, before the Revolutionary War by Isaac Garrison, 2nd
Lieutenant, Cornwall Regiment who fought and was captured at the
Battle of Fort Montgomery.
Molly Corbin, the first woman to
receive a pension for wartime service lived here as a boarder
for a time while stationed with the Invalid Regiment at West
Point which is also her final resting place.
